Washing away the day
Debussy's waves crash across my lips
As I sink below the bubbles
Dreaming of beach play
La Mer's violins taste bitter sweet
As the water begins to cool
Putting Triton's trumpets away
The silence of bedtime cools my skin
As the tub drains to empty

Today's dVerse Meeting the Bar asks us to use Synesthesia or Sensory Confusion in a poem (i.e. taste the rainbow). I've included a poem about bathtime-a nice relaxing bubble bath, listening to Debussy's La Mer, and maybe having a glass of wine. Hope you enjoy.
