Darkness of war is coming
They are the future

Kindertransport-The Kindertransport was a rescue mission that took place during the nine months prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. The United Kingdom took in nearly 10,000 predominantly Jewish children from Nazi Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the Free City of Danzig.

  8. Oh, my.
I didn't know anything about this.
War is the greatest evil, and WW II seems to have been the most evil of all.

    Sad and beautiful haiku.

  12. Great idea to combine the haiku promt with "International Holocaust Remembrance Day". My SIL is working in the "NS Documentation Center of the City of Cologne" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EL-DE_Haus). Her recent project is teaching children about the holocaust. Yesterday she's been on the radio in an interview.
